Forward motion, headfirst & horizontal to gravity!

I'm more than a little biased, but this program is an awesome way to help veterans get back to enjoying life again. The riverboarding community should be proud of this great effort.

Thanks to everyone for all of their hard work in putting this together.

Take care,
Matt

Do you have any involvement with this program?
Comment by Ehren Axley on July 6, 2010 at 9:27pm
I'm asking because I'd like to get with the people who are. This is something I'd like to do myself.

Thanks for the support Rochel and Alex! Ehren, the program began when a vet with PTSD got a hold of one of our boards and fell in love with the sport one spring on the Lochsa. I put my sister and that vet together and they created Xsports4vets. It's still a fledgling program, but I think it's got great potential. You can reach them at www.xsports4vets.com

Question: Xsports4vets is looking for an outdoor sport for the vets to do when the rivers are low. I'd love to here your recommendations. They are looking for sport that is commercially led by guides, packs an adrenaline rush, and doesn't require a ton of learning to have fun. Thanks for the help, matt

Thank you all!
Xsports4vets 1st go round of riverboarding courses was so successful that we'll be starting a 2nd course this Thursday 7/15/10. Thank you Mike Johnston and the Montana River Guides.
Ehren, we'd love to connect with you, email us at Xsports4vets@gmail.com.

Good on ya, folks! In a tiny way I can relate to jesse's physical injuries. I'm less than a year out from low back surgery. I won't raft right now -- the twisting is just too much -- but the board makes me feel great.
