I'm still waiting to find out when a kayak race is in Columbia around the first or second weekend of January and if I'll do that or one of the Canaan airboard clinics if the dates conflict. You can get a thick wetsuit and jump in, or just come and watch if it's chilly.

Millrace starts at noon, then a tube race for the top 10 males and top 5 females in Millrace. Then the Iceman championship. If you're in town, come watch the races and hang out afterward. I'll be getting there in the morning to register and practice if I come. I always wait till a few days before just to make sure it isn't going to be stupid cold.

It's a fun event, but I can just as much training from the comfort of a heated pool at the YMCA. Have fun in DC and at Canaan if you're able to make it.
