This has been in the National news over the past couple of days. Maybe not strictly at facelevel, but using only gravity, pretty damn ballsy stuff, even if they seem to have never heard of protective equipment!!

No worries, glad to be able to help. The main one is a national qualification, so has been developed over the last 20+ years by NZs top white water people. The other little one is just one of a heap of different scenario style things we have develop…

Ehren I sent you a couple of things via email - took your address from your fins post, let me know if you haven't got it, otherwise good luck!

This whole thing sounds like a storm in a teacup to me. Yes, the guide missed the take out, as we all know, this can happen in the dynamic environment that is white water. I know I have no where near all the information, but it sounds as though she…

The following year while on a forced break from another job, I worked for Serious Fun as I knew the owner at the time. During that season I trained as a guide, consequently working for them on and off in a dr… Continue

Looking for any new guides this year? I'd be happy just to come down there and hang out and board with you but any work would be cool too. Any advice whether I should look into a work visa or no? Also... would it be worth it to buy a cheap car for 3 months.. or are there better options?

If you're on the East Coast below the Mason Dixon line, close to it, or coming into the area to board, connect with other boarders. For riverboardering, airboarding at Canaan, and whatever else you do at face level. Mid-Atlantics are welcome too.

Kind of related, has anyone seen one of these... http://2imagine.net/blogger2009/rapidfire2.html What I like about them is their ability to ride rivers when they are far too low to riverboard. I do not own one (yet) but I have been looking at the…
