Thanks. Just what I needed- something else to distract me from work. I can't wait to see it in person this spring.

I almost would go after it, but the teachers I'm subbing for tomorrow have had me in their classes multiple times, so I gotta keep the teachers that have me on their preferred list happy. But after seeing that today the volume was just a few thousan…

Oh, man, I hope not. If he does it, then I'm going to have to seriously consider it, so he doesn't go alone. And if I do it before my back is totally ready, my wife'll keel me.

Wow. Thanks for posting these Jay! I was just telling a friend I'd like to go check it out while it's pumpin' this high. You saved me a trip, though I'm sure it'd be worth it :) I'm sure when Kevin sees these he's going to want to drop everything a…

It's so tough to tell the scale of these things from photos. Bear in mind, the first Whale Hole Photo is significantly farther than 100 m from the camera.

The New is at 22 feet right now (read: HUGE), so I packed up my dog and my camera and drove down to the Keeneys to check it out. Here are a few photos. Believe it or not, this is Double Z. This hole appears to be formed by the rocks just river right…

Josh wrote: "It's one thing to sail the ocean blue in the summer of 1492...quite another to walk around the arctic circle by yourself, you know?" Ah but the spirit and will required to accomplish both (and Mike's feat) are remarkably similar.

Yeah, but did she land it? Just kidding! Fantastic shot!

I think that you definitely have to land something (holding on to your board upright) for it to count. But really, if someone cares that much about having a "world record title" then they are probably a kook. If you drop off a 30-40' waterfall and…

those tandem kayakers rolled upside-down after the record falls, but they both came up in the boat holding onto their paddles. I would have been more impressed if they didn't roll, but no one is saying it didn't count.

Granted, this video has far more relevance to recreational lake boaters than to riverboarders (anybody ride in a cotton sweatsuit with no PFD?), but if you have never experienced cold water immersion first hand, this probably has some survival value…

If you're on the East Coast below the Mason Dixon line, close to it, or coming into the area to board, connect with other boarders. For riverboardering, airboarding at Canaan, and whatever else you do at face level. Mid-Atlantics are welcome too.

Welcome to Face Level Debbie, Like you, I am never too comfortable kayaking as I don't have a bomb-proof roll. In an attempt to make my occasional swims less......exciting, I thought I should kayak with my wetsuit and swim fins on but unfortunately…

Wow, I can't believe you riverboard class 5! I just haven't progressed with whitewater paddling. I'm more comfortable out of my boat, swimming. Though, paddlers will tell you that swimming the river is the most dangerous position to be in. This I…
