Elisia said… Hi there, Rob! Yes, I'm on Facebook. You'll find me under Elisia Dorkette. Caveat: That's really not my last name; it's a bit of an inside joke.
You bet I've heard of Horsetooth reservoir! I hiked around that area over the summer months. If you ever find yourself in the area, let's run Poudre river. I'm planning on getting a new rip board next month. : )
Peace,
~ Elisia

Elisia said… Yeah, it looked like Lochsa! Dragging your little bro to the Lochsa..you're such a bad influence! I love it! :soft laugh: What shocked me is that you took inflatables down the Lochsa. I bought my first board from a kayak outfit on Highway 93. When I asked one of the guides about taking it down the Lochsa, he told me he wouldn't dream of it, and would only use ripboards. I was rather surprised to learn of the level as early as 4.10.10.
"Round Up" is actually a section of class III rapids on the Blackfoot; that's where I first learned to riverboard. I had a wild time, fell in love with it, and never looked back. I'm buying a new ripboard in a couple of weeks, and I can't wait! :batting eyelashes:
I really miss the pristine, tranquil beauty of western Montana. Whenever we went riverboarding, we would pass so many cars with out of state license plates, and I remember thinking, "Gosh...people drive for hundreds of miles to touch what we are privileged to experience every day." I loved MT so much I actually named my first dog Montana. : ) Please keep me posted on any Montana news. Oh yeah. If you get a chance, please go to the Mustard Seed, order a salad with ginger dressing and a Teriyaki Chicken bowl for me. : ) I'll enjoy it vicariously through you. :soft laugh:
Peace,
~ Elisia
