Beautiful! Well done, you made it look much easier than what it actually is I reckon.

wow! that is a sweet pic and cool story - I'd brave the big waves, then maybe the cold (but ok, probably not), but Great White Sharks? Um...no. That guy's ballsy.

swimfins

i probably have around six pairs of swimfins / flippers in my garage. from those long fins used for spearfishing, to the short stubby fins used for bodyboarding and then a few variations in between. truth be told, i have something of a ’soft spot’ for swimfins. all swimfins.

it started w… Continue

still the best hydrospeed creeking action ever!

towards the end of the 90's i read an article about a south african guy named mike horn who had become the first person to hydrospeed/riverboard the entire length of the amazon river. the trip was close on 7 000km's long and lasted 7 months. reading that article made a big impression on me & i was espec… Continue

poetry in ocean

some vintage bodysurfing footage of mark cunningham who is regarded as one of the best bodysurfers in the world. there is a fair amount of bodysurfing video-clips and footage on the internet... but considering this video-clip dates back to the 1980's, it is one of my all-time favourites. even if… Continue

Hi Charl,
Happy new year from Magali and me!
We are under the snow in Marseille ! The first time since 20 years! In consequence, it's the black out in the city since yesterday : no buses, no subway, the airport is closed and nobody works because the roads are closed !
(In Canada everything is OK with 2 meters of snow, but here with only 25 centimeters all is out!)
If everything is OK with the postal service, you will receive in 1 or 2 weeks a postal card from us for the happy new year.

Since our worldtrip comeback, Magali is in charge of the South Region of France for her job (microcredit for the small entrepreneuship). She works a lot.
For me, it's not so easy because I was obliged to stop my job in Corsica to join Magali in Marseille. I'm currently loooking for opportunities in Africa for a job as consultant in an NGO or something like that...but it's not so easy.

And you? Is Facelevel.com a professionnal activity or just a private hobby?

Kiss all the family for us.
Thibault & Magali.

Last week I meet in Marseille a guy that you meet in Corsica. He's name is Nicolas (nickname : Le Poulpe). He's a hydrospeeder from the Acquaviva team and he's just coming back from Népal.
