Well, it's a day before St. Patrick's Day, but the USNWC is going to put green dye in the water ( I think the water turns green at 1, but I'll probably be there before that ) so come out and have a blast. I'm planning to both ride for fun and do some training to prepare for the competition at the USNWC in April. Let's get in the Irish spirit by floating in green water and maybe have a pint of stout after the run. Start time may change based on the water release schedule for that day.See More

Millrace Massacre and Iceman Championship at Millrace rapid near Riverbanks Zoo, Saluda river.
January 5, 2013 from 9am to 7pm
Millrace Massacre and Iceman Championship are boating races put on by the Saluda Boyz of Columbia, SC. This is a great event as when I went in 2009, everyone ( spectators, organizers, and fellow racers ) were supportive of someone in a different craft competing, and a great crew of boaters who still yell out greetings and encouragement when they recognize me on other rivers in the southeast.The cost is $ 20 dollars.
