Honorary member since I've only been up once, though would like to go back sometime, and since I am technically the caretaker for the entire East Coast. Glad to know that things up there are growing and in the hands of solid, passionate riders, Rob.

Why thank you Kevin. I will do my best to continue to grow this sport up here with the Yanks.

Does anyone know of any riverboarding companies in the Northeast? I'm hoping to move to the US, and would love a guideing job.

Hey Ian,

Look up the "Aspen Seals" they seem to be booked up with trips nonstop during the season.

Also there is a company up in Oregon on an Native American reservation that does trips. I think Josh would have more info on this.

Aspen Seals is in Colorado. Nothing in the northeast though. I'm starting a guide company in the southeast with plans to cover multiple rivers on the East Coast, though it will be a few seasons before I have enough work for additional guides at the main location or ready to expand to other rivers.

Oops yeah, forgot about the Southeast part.

Just give us a few years, and hopefully riverboarding trips will be popular enough to offer jobs for guides!!!

That'd be good. I have found a place up in Maine taht seem to mostly do rafting, but also riverboarding and kayaking, Called Penobscot adventures. Does anybody know anything about it?...Thanks for the info, by the way.

Penobscot Adventures only offers riverboarding at one or two rapids on the Penobscot river and let their guests walk back up for as many multiple runs as they wish during the time period allotted. Wish they would run some entire stretches, but glad they're doing something and that they got some TV coverage in the region.

I am currently working to get riverboarding trips run on the upper kennebec. I have an outfitter who claims their insurance will cover it. Now it all just needs to come together without inland fisheries wildlife service from putting the kaibash on it... i will keep you all posted throughout the winter. We are hoping to be offering upper kennebec trips by next summer at Moxie Outdoor Adventures in the Forks, Maine.
