Jul 6-8 gathering

so.. based on arbitrary decision, and release schedules. I'm hoping to have a symposium / get together / gathering / pod / meeting of like minded persons / board meeting on July 6-8 2012. in western NC. Not certain yet if we're looking to Charlotte, Asheville, the NOC area or what exactly, but the Pigeon will run that sat. the Cheaoh will run sat and sun. the Middle Ocoee will be up, and the Upper probably will be releasing

I'll start another thread so interested parties can step up, and questions can be asked.

don't expect meetings, but don't expect fees either.

out of state folks... plan your travels now!

Let me / us know if you're planning on coming out and what levels you're comfortable boarding.

also let us know if you'd rather hotel vs camping

we'll see (based on attendance / anticiapated trips) if we should aim more towards asheville, and the easier stuff there, or the TN/NC line, and the rougher stuff there.

If you were looking to Fly in.. please let us know, and alsoif you were planning to rent a car or bring your own.

ultimately what I'd love to see here.. is a bunch of us getting together at where ever we're sleeping, and planning trips from there, based on interest, and skill levels., with all of us meeting back for stories of the day's adventures, and general BS'ing.

personally I'd prefer camping ( cause it's Cheap!)

I'll be bringing my car.

I'd like to run the Cheoah.

Happy on the Ocoee, and any class 4 over there.

I'm game for the event...whatever it may be called. I would come if it is at the Cheoah...one fo the best riding spots in the south! Their is a hotel on the River, for those who want that, and many campsites within a few minutes drive.

The Ocoee is rocky, the NOC is too small...but has a nice bar! The Pigeon would be my second choice.

It will be up in the air for me as that could be a crazy weekend if everything works out in Georgia for an outpost, but if I can make it out to this, I'm glad to lead on the Cheoah, Ocoee, Pigeon, anything and I'll try to brew a bucket of beer suitable for the summer ( wheat, lager, etc. ) for everyone's enjoyment.

so this weekend is coming up fast.

There's Many places to camp, but between the Cheoah release, and the long weekend, Most places will be Packed.

I'm staying over at smokey mountain meadows campground near Bryson City. http://www.smokymtnmeadows.com/

since that's where I'll be the week prior.

My campsite is open but you'll have to BYOB :)

I hear that a few are still on the the Cheoah release on the 7th. I am coming to video. Finally starting my documentary. Meeting at the take out at 10:30am to do some pre riding interviews. Anyone interested, please meet us there.
