SF American River Festival

Our Riverboarding community has been invited to be a part of the SF American River Festival, Sept 10th thru Sept 12th, 2010.

This will probably be the last 2010 West Coast boarding event in a year of great water up and down the West Coast.
The festival will have riverboarding events, demos and a chance to tell stories, etc. and meet others in the sport.
Several of our "core" boarders will be attending. It is time to get you involved in one of our "festival events"
and be more involved in the West Coast riverboarding community.
The festival backers have guaranteed us higher than normal water flows, great weather and fun times.

Check it out...the events will be:

Friday 10:00 AM: Fun Run downriver to Coloma
Saturday 10:00 AM: Downriver race from Chili Bar/Nugget Camp to African Queen rapid (Approx. 2 miles)
Saturday 12 Noon: Surfing competition at First Threat
Sunday 10:00 AM: Boardercross Rodeo at Nugget Camp

The festival fee will be $35.00 each which includes prizes, event entry fee and insurance.
Prizes will include a Carlson Board, a Kern Board, a pair of Churchill Fins and more.

There will be extra boards, etc there is some of you need it. Mark you calendars and start making plans to join the festivities
on the South Fork while putting this great sport on the map! Of course, if you can think of anyone else to forward this on to, do it!
