Event Description

Getting to take some friends riverboarding at the US Whitewater Center, so all in the area are invited. Let's show up in mass on a Saturday. $ 25 dollars for a day pass + 6 for parking but you usually get a coupon for a free dessert at the restaurant that is worth the value of the parking fee. Water will be running from 10:30 until 6:30. I know I'm staying at least through the afternoon.

Yes, do show up it'd be awesome to have tons of people there, make the case for riverboarding at the USNWC! I love that place, way to go Kev.

By the way, there are no set days or times for personal recreational riverboarding anymore I was told recently by them...so that's good, it's open anytime to riverboarders!

yeah, that was the idea: to say thanks for opening up to every day of the week and that riverboarders would support them w/ business during the weekends.

Hope I can make it (may have picked up call this weekend).  Here is the link to the center:http://usnwc.org/activities/whitewater-kayaking/.  You can download the waiver from here.  They did away with the vests, so you just get an arm band. Parking is still $5.00.  They added a new high wire course, without the wire....for those who don't get enough arm burn from boarding.  They seemed to have raised the level on the front side, below big drop is a sticky (stick on top of it) pourover on the right and a pourover on the left.  Give you a call if I can make it.

Awesome, yeah one bonus is that last year when you paid for a parking pass you got a coupon for a free dessert that was worth the value of parking anyway. Hope that is still the case.

Dodged call, but have a dinner obligation on Saturday.  May go on Sunday, NOAA graphical http://graphical.weather.gov/sectors/conus.php?element=Wx gives both days about the same rain outlook but...going to get wet anyway.
